If you have booked dinner you will enjoy dining in our small candle lit oak beamed dining room with it's sea shanty decor, and interesting nautical nick knacks It is a cosy setting in which to enjoy beautifully cooked tasty local produce Our ever changing blackboard menu offers a la carte treats during the summer months such as Lobster and Crab, game from nearby estates, and fish caught by our local fishermen, a good steak makes an appearance and there is always a vegetarian option, During the quieter months of the year, if we have holiday makers staying over the weekend we serve an excellent value four course dinner which is popular, not just with our own guest's but also with other visitors and locals all keen to share the "Beaches experience" As we don't have a licence to sell alcohol you can bring along your own wine (small corkage charge) we do of course sell soft drinks.

Bed and Breakfast

Bedrooms Although not "posh" our en-suite spacious and comfortable rooms offer great value for money, with big beds, colour television with video or DVD, and hot drinks tray, and of course our guests start the day with an amazing breakfast.

Self Catering

Studio Perfect for couples who enjoy loft living, this huge space is at the top of a former Granary and is packed full of original features and quirky detail, with timber beams, wooden floor boards and exposed stonework, Open plan style cooking eating and lounging areas, a separate bedroom and a bijoux shower room built into the eves, this spacious retreat even boasts it's own roof deck with views over the North Sea Apartment With two en-suite bedrooms - A good sized twin and a smaller double, with a peep of the sea - a light and spacious living cooking and dining area our apartment is a great value base for up to four people (and a dog by arrangement).

Winter Breaks

Available on selected dates January - March, and can be booked from 1st December.

Just a bit of info

Accommodation is ready from 4pm and unless otherwise arranged, check-in is between 4-5 pm, If you are arriving on public transport earlier in the day let us know if you want to drop your bags in so you can go off exploring unhampered, we can't guarantee your accommodation will be ready before 4 pm but we will do our best. (morning check in and/or afternoon check out can sometimes be arranged for an extra charge) As we don't take credit or debit card, payment for B&B on departure is to be made in cash, a cheque may be accepted with a guarantee card We welcome well behaved dogs (with their own beds) in some of our accommodation, please enquire when booking. (conditions apply) Bicycles can be stored by arrangement In common with a lot of small villages in England, Alnmouth was invented before the car, we don't have private parking spaces But don't panic, unlike a lot of small villages in England free street parking is still available throughout our village including the side of the road opposite Beaches, or we can point you in the direction of a quiet spot off the main street and of course will always help you in with bags etc. Booking for B&B should be confirmed in writing within 7 days of making your reservation enclosing a cheque (payable to S Hall) as a deposit, the minimum deposit we will ask for is the cost of the room for the first night, Booking for self catering and winter breaks a deposit of 25% required with a letter of confirmation within 7 days of booking, with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to holiday

Cancellation

In the event of a booking being cancelled by you the deposit is always non refundable, but in the case of a bed and breakfast reservation we will sometimes roll this forward to a future booking at our discretion. In the event of a self catering or winter break being cancelled by you less than 8 weeks before your stay the balance is still payable unless we can re-let the accommodation within that 8 weeks in which case we will return the balance to you less 10% to cover re-advertising and admin costs.

We strongly recommend that you cover the cost of your booking with holiday insurance.
